For 3 stalks or branches of Broccoli

Ingredients Used:
* Chicken (Breast or Thigh) * Light Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoon * Broccoli * Sugar - 1 1/2 teaspoon * 3 clover of garlic * Oyster Sauce - 2 tablespoon * 2 slices of ginger * Corn starch - 2 teaspoon * 1 egg white |
Preparation steps:
* Start by boiling a pot of hot water * Cut chicken into slices. (Depending on your mood for chicken, you can use whole breast or half. Generally for 3 stalks, half is sufficient) * Cut broccoli into prefer size, usually to the same as each individual flower. Wash and add to hot water for 2 minutes. (Boil longer if prefer softer broccoli) Take out and drain. Leave to side. * Mixed common ingrediants with chicken and corn starch. Leave egg white until cooking steps.
Key: Use your hand to mix ingrediant and chicken. Wash hand afterward.

Cooking Steps:
* Preheat (medium heat) Wok/pan with oil (1 1/2 tablespoon of Olive or vegetable)
* Put in garlic and ginger slices - fry till lightly brown
* Mix egg white with chicken and add into Wok/Pan. Stir to cook for 4 - 5 minutes. (Note: Save marinated bowl used to mix chicken and ingrediants)
* While waiting for chicken to cook. Add 2 teaspoon of corn starch, 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce, 2 tablespoon soy sauce to saved marinated bowl. Add 3/4 cup of water and mixed. - This will be the gravy mix.
* Add gravy mix to chicken at 4 minutes and cook till thickens (medium low flame). Pour on top of broccoli. You are ready to served. |
